QuickBooks® Online and Desktop Pricing Updates for August 2025

Effective August 1, 2025, Intuit® increased QuickBooks® Online prices for existing accountant-billed subscriptions. Price increases for new and client-billed subscriptions began on July 1, 2025. For new clients, the price change will not occur until the sixth month of their subscription. Promotional credits will still be honored, with the new rate applying once the promotion expires.
Intuit® attributes these pricing changes to ongoing innovations aimed at improving efficiency and value. New features include built in Artificial Intelligence (AI) automation to handle repetitive tasks, enhanced collaboration tools for smoother client communication and a more integrated, customizable interface that simplifies managing all business operations in one place. These updates are designed to save time, improve accuracy and support business growth.
New Pricing Scale for QuickBooks® Products
QuickBooks® Online
QuickBooks® Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced subscription prices have changed to the following:

QuickBooks® Payroll
Pricing for QuickBooks® Online Payroll (Core, Premium and Elite) is increasing alongside subscription rates. See the chart below for updated per-employee pricing.

QuickBooks® Desktop
New pricing for QuickBooks® Desktop (Pro Plus, Premier Plus and Mac Plus) will take effect on or after October 1, 2025, for existing customers. Desktop subscriptions are no longer available for new users. QuickBooks® Desktop Enterprise remains available for new customers if QuickBooks® Online is not compatible.

QuickBooks® Desktop Enterprise
QuickBooks® Desktop Enterprise price for the payroll module also increased on August 1, 2025. However, this price increase will be based off the customer’s unique renewal date. For example, if a customer’s annual renewal occurred before August 1, the price increase will apply at their next renewal date. Price increases will impact new and existing customers.
There will be no changes to QuickBooks® Enterprise Silver, as this edition is the same as Gold, except payroll is excluded.

QuickBooks® Desktop Plus Suspended Subscriptions
Clients have a 30-day grace period to renew suspended Desktop subscriptions. Intuit® will send email notifications to the address on file regarding billing or payment issues. To avoid missing this grace period, ensure all contact information with Intuit® is accurate and up to date.
Keeping Your Intuit® Account Information Current
Clients can manage contact information, accounts, products and subscriptions through the Intuit® Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS). This portal allows users to confirm their subscription status, update payment information and verify account details. This is especially important given the rise in email and phone scams. The CAMPS portal applies to all Intuit® products, including QuickBooks® Desktop, Online and Payroll. To update your email address, phone number or password, visit: https://accounts.intuit.com/.
