OBBBA Webinar: What You Need to Know Right Now

On Thursday, August 14, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM EST, the Brown Plus Tax Department will present a two-hour webinar on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). Our presenters will speak on a variety of business tax, individual tax and Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit changes resulting from OBBBA.
Participants may earn two CPE credits (tax) by responding to at least six out of the eight polling questions that will appear on screen unannounced throughout the presentation.
Participants will:
- Experience a comprehensive review of business tax provisions within OBBBA, including bonus depreciation for qualified property, limitation on business interest, qualified business income (QBI) deductions (Section 199A), clean energy provisions and more.
- Gain an understanding of updates made to R&D expenses under Section 174.
- Understand individual tax provisions within OBBBA, including standard deduction increases, Form 1099 changes, Child Tax Credit updates and more.

As R&D Director at Brown Plus, Pat is responsible for managing tax credit consulting and compliance services for his clients, as well as leading the Brown Plus R&D Tax Practice. He brings over 17 years of experience in public accounting to the Firm, with expertise in all aspects of consolidated federal and state tax compliance, audit defense for IRS R&D Tax Credits and audit support for GAAP and statutory provisions.
