
Brown Plus Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit Webinar

On Wednesday, May 7, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EST, Patrick Rogers, EA, MST, Tax Principal and Research and Development (R&D) Director at Brown Plus, will present a one-hour webinar on the R&D Tax Credit. Pat will speak on the fundamentals of the R&D Tax Credit and provide case studies of several businesses that he has helped through the R&D Tax Credit process.
Participants may earn one CPE credit (tax) by responding to at least three out of the four polling questions that will appear on screen unannounced throughout the presentation.
Participants will:
- Experience a comprehensive review of the R&D Tax Credit, including its function, history and recent developments, including updates to Section 174 and proposed legislation.
- Gain an understanding of how to identify Qualified Research Activities (QRAs), or R&D activities that may qualify for the R&D Tax Credit.
- Understand the tax form changes and recordkeeping requirements associated with the R&D Tax Credit.
- Hear case studies about various business’ QRAs and R&D Tax Credit calculations across a variety of industries.
- Receive an overview of Brown Plus’ R&D study process and methodology.
About Pat Rogers

Pat is one of the key members of the Brown Plus Tax Department. As R&D Director, he is responsible for managing tax credit consulting and compliance services for his clients, as well as leading the Brown Plus R&D Tax Practice. He brings over 17 years of experience in public accounting to the Firm. Prior to joining Brown Plus, Pat was a leading member of a national R&D Tax Credit practice in an accounting and advisory firm and worked at a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, a Philadelphia-based business advisory and tax consulting firm, and a major transportation and freight company.
